Secretary of the Board
For many years, I have been involved with the International Holland Music Sessions as a volunteer. I supported the organisation during the festival alongside running my own consultancy, MIMA (Environmental Management). I have since retired and moved to Bergen.
Music has played an important role throughout my life. I started out as a pianist, but discovered my love of singing during my student years. I continued to develop as a singer with the Wageningen Student Choir and Orchestra Association (WSKOV). I began as an alto and now greatly enjoy singing soprano. Today, I mainly sing in project choirs that work towards specific performances.
I studied Economic and Social History at Radboud University Nijmegen, with additional courses at Wageningen University. Alongside my professional career, I have always been actively involved as a volunteer and have held various board positions, including chair and secretary. I am also active in local politics.
After moving to Bergen at the end of 2025, I decided to deepen my involvement with IHMS by joining its board. I look forward to contributing my experience and enthusiasm to the organisation’s continued development, while remaining involved as a volunteer during the festival and other activities.
